Online business, e-business, is a system for establishing a business while offline business also known as physical store is our traditional way of establishing a business. This article will be explaining the context of an online and offline business.

It is a business that has a physical place or walk-in store where people can come in see and buy whatever product they desire. In the traditional days even till now having a physical store is very important, this way customers get to see the products, specifications of their desire/want. Having a physical store(OFFLINE STORE) has built trust between buyers and sellers.

  • Limited reach to potential customers
  • Spend more on rent
  • Spend more on marketing
  • Limited reach to partners; they may be people out there looking for collaborations with your type of business, but having just an offline business reach makes it very challenging to have access to such people.

The advantages of Offline Business;
  • Customers get to see the physical products
  • It helps build trust and reliability seeing that you have the product available and customers can get it at any time.
  • The actual satisfaction you get when you can feel and check the description of what you really want; can be provided if you have a physical store. 

How do you market an Offline Business;
  • Creating flyers that contain details of the products and services you offer
  • By employing marketers; to help market your products and services and to help share the flyers to create more visibility
  • Create discount sales; drive more customers to your store and create more visibility 
  • Using media system; like the Facebook ads, Instagram Ads
  • Listing your business on google business listing.

Offline Business from the on-set has been the traditional way to start a business. Years ago people believed in walking into a store to buy whatever they need. This is/was a very good way and a satisfactory way for customers. The feeling you get when you can see the products and decide on what to buy is extra-ordinary, I am sure we all can relate.  

Offline Business has its own limitations and strength. But has years went by, technology made it known that we could reach more potential clients even without having a physical store and boom people forgot about having a physical store. It's important you have a physical store but not necessary if you know you can do better without it. Physical store has the chance of building 75% of trust between you and your customers, the remaining 25% is based on your customers' service.

Online business is also known as e-business are businesses transacted across the internet. Online business is a platform where you can create a business online without having a physical store and reach thousands of potential customers. Online business increases the visibility of your products and services to the world. Products and Services are marketed, viewed, sold, purchased and delivered online.

  • If you operate your store using Instagram or Facebook, post relevant content to drive traffic to your store and use powerful hashtags for more visibility.

As stated above, Online Business or e-business is created so that we can have a wider reach and get more visibility for our business. We have millions of people on the internet every day, technology one way or the other has made it possible to buy and sell online at your convenience and this system as created so many platforms and also helpt a lot of people (buyers) to shop at your own convenience and (sellers) have access to millions of people.

Even SOCIAL MEDIA apps now have Business Account, where you can create, customize and advertise your store online. Generally online store has just made it easy for people to find and get what they need just by typing keywords and searching. If your business is online, there is a probability that every day someone is searching for the kind of products or services you offer.

Conclusion: So if you have a physical store and your business is not out there on the internet, i will advise you to put your business out there. Having a physical store is not a bad idea, you can still run your physical store and at the same time run your online store. Post pictures of your physical store on your online store, this act will be of good advantage to your customers.

And if you only have an online store, that is also fine. Just always provide your customers with the best of service and product you can offer. Their testimony and referral will be of great advantage to you.
